I've never seen any of the Batman films, only the original program from the 60's. I always liked Cesar Romero as the Joker.

I wouldn't bother with the films. The Batman costume is laughable in all of them. It makes him so unmoveable he would last 30 seconds on the streets of Gotham.

meanwhile, in the world of proper films for grown-ups,last night I finally got round to seeing Alejandro Inarritu's Biutiful....

Incredible. one of the best pieces of filmmaking I've seen in years. Tragedy,comedy, great score, believable characters, superb script, wonderful cinematography...almost a perfect film. recommended for those of you not interested in comic-strip kids movies or puerile Hollywood bullshit.
