...After watching the clips from warehouse parties & raves in the late 80's, I've ended up spending over an hour this morning reminiscing over you tube vids of the "good old days"...

......This was the height of the free party scene as far as I was concerned...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP_DriqOgE4

.....from about 200 travellers to about 15,000 ravers within 24 hours.....no twitter, no facebook, no mobile phones.....just a local phone box & word of mouth.

....fucking ace... [smilie=icon_mrhappy.gif]

:D

the other thing I remember ( not that much to be fair  ) is how some smaller stuff just started up spontaneously back in those days....wasteland, campsites, house parties, under bridges, in woods...Suddenly a small gathering of people chilling & smoking would be augmented by mates of mates with decks & mixer....a 'bloke who someone knew' would arrive in a beaten up van with a PA system, UV flashlamp & smoke machine & off it went... Not like the branded, corporate sponsored, 'superclub', named dj, Official mixcompliation bullshit that followed...
