exactly this Billy. with a recent history of the wheels always coming off you just sit & wait for it to happen.

Like I fully expect us to get roundly beaten at Bradford... even though current form would indicate we should be
in with a chance... :?

To be fair we got a decent point in what seemed to be a pretty even game. Have to be happy with that.

Lots of rumours doing the rounds that Fulham want to talk to him about the vacancy.

I managed to get in on the day (only just....600+ day tickets sold out in about an hour).....so glad I made the effort for a change....

Armas movement was top draw at times, Murphy looks a classy finisher too, Ryan Haynes gets a mention as he was clearly going to be this seasons boo boy but had a good game..Joe Cole starting to influence games as we knew he could/should but for me, its Maddison, Maddison, Maddison.....

I know he's only just back from injury, I know we're only 4th in the 3rd division & I know he's only a skinny 19 year old......but he's got everything he needs to take his game to the very top level in the next 12-18 months IMHO.

Fantastic start to the year......still trying to stop myself dreaming of the first promotion in my lifetime.....but you can't help it after witnessing a 5-0 away win....even it was against a very shit crewe.

Happy new year you bunch of silly ****. 8)

WTF.....we've signed Cole for the season, Arma looks like hes staying put & we've also signed a few others to bolster an already strong squad....

....and we only need 4 more points to stay up.....

At the start of the season I considered myself optimistic for a change because I thought we could achieve mid-table safety rather than spend the season battling relegation, but so far this season has been amazing. Not just the results but the way we're playing.

I think a large amount of that has to go to Mowbray. for too long we've had managers content to just soak up pressure and defend, and it doesn't work. Attack them, and they're too busy worrying about what you can do to them to attack you effectively. Even with a young, inexperienced forward line we look dangerous. I also think Vincelot is a vital unsung cog, just breaking things up in the centre when need be.

Also need to congratulate Venus for scouting some real gems, and (remember this) the owners for giving the funds to get the players in. I expected the playing budget to have been used up by the start of the season and yet still more players are coming in. So either someone is managing to convince these players to play for peanuts, or they've given a larger budget than they initially said. Still not going to matches in protest though.

Slight worries - if Armstrong were recalled so he could be loaned out to the Championship. Our own strikers don't look anywhere near capable of the same scoring feats. But given Mowbray's magic wand in the transfer market he'd probably find an adequate replacement.

Not we need to Bigi permanently, unless Mowbray is looking to next season and expects to lose at least one of Vincelot or Fleck and release some of the youngsters like Finch, Thomas, Lawton or Stevenson. He's like Stephen Hughes and Sideways Sammy. Competent but ultimately doesn't affect the game as is almost a passenger at times IMO. Although Fleck has made a few errors of late, and he and Vincelot will almost certainly get bookings, we've just signed Rose and O'Brien could fill in there, plus the aforementioned youngsters.

As good as Armstrong has been we shouldn't over estimate his importance. I believe we've won all the games he's missed (including Burton away). A number of his goals have come in thumping victories (3 when we beat Crewe 5-0, 2 in the 4-0 Millwall win, 2 in the 3-0 Shrews win). Take him out of the team and it doesn't mean his replacement won't score... just that they won't score as many.

Maybe the outlay on players is because the club know they will be getting money in through a sale.

Think a large amount of that has to go to Mowbray at the same time.

Yep Adge said he was garbage anyway so no idea why Norwich have spent up to £9.5m on him. The sooner we close down that academy the better!

Looks like we have signed two of the best up and coming defenders on loan as well. How dare he!

I hate to say it but despite all the losses I actually think that we could still go up. Nice away day in London in May would be nice. I might even try to get to a game before then as well
